Eloping In Glacier National Park
Why Glacier?
Glacier will captivate you with its rugged landscapes and dramatic mountain peaks, making it a truly adventurous elopement destination. From the vibrant blues of glacial lakes to the charming pathways of dense forests, the diverse scenery provides countless opportunities for memorable moments. With its remote settings and breathtaking views, the Crown of the Continent offers an unparalleled sense of intimacy and connection to nature.
How do we do it?
If you’re looking to get the most out of your elopement a little bit of planning is key. You will need a permit to be married in the park - so figuring out where and when will should be your first steps! From there I am happy to assist at any point in the planning process from offering spot guidance to planning the day for you. My goal is to help you achieve the adventure you’ve been dreaming of and capture it beautifully.
Where do we go in Glacier?
Spanning over 1 million acres, Glacier may seem like a challenging place to elope. Luckily it isn’t! If you are planning to elope here it is important to know that ceremonies may only take place in specific locations. You can see a full list of them HERE. When it comes down to which location, it’ll be important to see what sections of the park you hope to see for your adventure! I definitely have some favorites that I will share below but make sure to check out your options so you can see all Glacier has to offer.
1. 7-Mile Pull Out (Sandy Point)
Located in the Lake McDonald district, 7-Mile Pull Out is my favorite ceremony spot in Glacier. A beautiful view of Lake McDonald that is accessible year round. This is an ideal spot to kick off a west Glacier adventure as it is along the famed Going to the Sun Road. Allows up to 15 guests during peak season or 20 in off season.
2. Pray Lake
Located in the Two Medicine / Walton district, the shoreline of Pray Lake offers a beautiful backdrop for both intimate ceremonies or larger groups. Allows for up to 30 guests and designated parking is nearby. Accessible by vehicle from late May to Early October.
3. Big Bend
Located in the Lake McDonald district, Big Bend is one of my favorite places in Glacier. Since it’s off of Going to the Sun Road it makes it easy to see other spots near by. Allows for up to 10 guests however ceremonies are restricted to the developed gravel area next to parking. Accessible by vehicle early July to Mid September.
Larger Group?
If you are looking to still have an adventure but bring the whole family along there are some of locations in the park for bigger groups too! You can view all locations and specific info for each HERE
